Miguel Jaramillo gives his thoughts about the unemployment rate during the first quarter of 2018 in Metropolitan Lima

Between January and March 2018, the unemployment rate in Metropolitan Lima reached 8.1%, the highest level since the same period in 2012, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). According to Miguel Jaramillo, in an interview with RPP Noticias, the underlying factor is the weakness of the economy, which translates into a lower capacity to generate formal jobs.
