GRADE’s new Research Paper addresses the private educational market in Peru

Towards a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the private educational market, GRADE releases its new Research Paper, “Private market, public consequences. Private provision services in Peru”, by María Balarin, Jostin Kitmang, Hugo Ñopo and María Fernanda Rodríguez.

Through a mixed methodology, the study analyzes the recent trajectory of the educational market and its regulation and governance. It is focused in San Juan de Lurigancho, an emblematic district of Lima, chosen for the extended of the private educational market and because its local characteristics replicate those of the market private education at the national level.
