Catherine holds a PhD in Economics from Oxford University and a Master degree in Economics from Bristol University.
Currently, she is the Director of Young Lives at Oxford University and an Associate Professor in Economics at the Lancaster University.
Her research interests include the risk, shocks and vulnerability to poverty, social protection, and child human capital development.
