Presentation
Continuation of the study commenced in 2001, under which laptops of the OLPC (One Laptop per Child) program are randomly assigned to students of the six primary school grades in 14 schools with low performance in Lima.
This time, another 14 schools are included (also randomly assigned) which do not receive the laptops individually, but all have technological resource centers (that include program laptops). The research proposes to analyze patterns of use by the students (to which end manuals have been distributed, in addition to the planning of training sessions) and impact on school performance.
This second stage is conducted in coordination with the Education Technologies Bureau of the Ministry of Education.
