José María Rentería is a PhD candidate in Economics at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He holds a master’s degree in Economic Development from the same University, and a degree in Economics from the Université Paris-Sud. He is currently a Visiting Researcher at GRADE under the tutelage of Juan León, studying the relationship between teacher well-being  and student learning. Previously, he has carried out research at the Minister of Education, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatic (INEI) and the Institute for Peruvian Studies (IEP), among others. His topics of interest revolve around inequality, the educational problem and the labour market.
