Researcher/s in charge : Martín Benavides
Other researchers : Maria Balarin
Execution time:September 2011 - January 2012

Presentation

The purpose of the consultancy is to design and conduct a qualitative study about the insertion process for teaching, with emphasis on tutoring and follow/up, based on the experience of Young Leaders of Enseña Perú (EPe) who are in their first and second year in the classrooms, in order to contribute in generating information and knowledge of the key stages to define the professional profile of teachers in Peru.

In particular, the study must inquire about the following with all relevant actors (principals, teachers, academic tutors and young leaders:

(a) Tutoring and follow-up processes and the role they play in defining learning curves and insertion to teaching; and

(b) Perceptions and comprehension that arise with respect to the education system as a result of the experience of being a young leader.

(Enseña Perú is an NGO that seeks to raise the quality of education in Peru, in public schools of vulnerable communities).
