In an agreement with Profonanpe, GRADE has been executing the project “Analysis of the current situation, trends and challenges of energy, extractive, productive activities, and the construction of infrastructure on a critical scale for the National System of Natural Areas (SINANPE)”, which, in turn, is part of the Project “Institutional Strengthening of Profonanpe and updating of the SERNANP Master Plan”, which aims to increase the institutional capacity of key national agencies to implement the Natural Heritage Initiative of Peru in alignment with policies of conservation at the national level.

The study of the current situation, trends and challenges aims to carry out an exploratory mapping of the energy, extractive, productive and Infrastructure activities linked to the protected areas of the ANPs System, to carry out the analysis of the current situation and trends of energy, extractive and infrastructure activities on a critical scale within the framework of the governance of the System, and propose a set of inter-institutional and / or multilevel policy guidelines considering the current situation, trends and challenges that contribute to improving the governance of the ANP system and recommendations for political incidence with the competent sectors.
