Presentation: What have we learned from the longitudinal study Young Lives Peru? Summary of findings

Niños del Milenio, known internationally as Young Lives, will share the synthesis of its findings in Peru. “What have we learned from the longitudinal study Young Lives in Peru?” will be held on Thursday, June 14.

The findings will be published in a report that covers the following chapters: “Changes in living standards and the role of social policies”; “Education”; “Nutrition”; “Risk behaviors for health and experiences of violence throughout the life cycle”; “Fertility, teenage pregnancy and the new generation”; and “Aspirations, socio-emotional competencies and subjective well-being”. These findings come from the five rounds of surveys that were carried out in the years 2002, 2006, 2009, 2013 and 2016.

The chapters will be presented by their authors, the researchers: Santiago Cueto, Alan Sánchez, Mary Penny and Vanessa Rojas. Moreover, the findings will be discussed by Pablo Lavado, researcher at the Universidad del Pacífico; María Luisa Fornara, representative of UNICEF in Peru; and Susana Chávez, from PROMSEX.
