“Between 2021 and 2022, rural poverty returns to its pre-pandemic levels, but urban poverty remains quite high. We need to be clear about these differences for any future strategy or discussion”.
On April 13, our Senior Researcher Lorena Alcázar presented a balance of the State’s actions in the face of poverty and the situation of social programs before and during the pandemic. Her presentation was part of the third meeting on the Anti-Poverty Working Group, as part of the Building Democratic Dialogue project, undertook by the Consortium of Economic and Social Research with funding from the National Endowment for Democracy.
