Eduardo Zegarra joins APEC meeting on the challenges for water and food security, in Vietnam

Our senior researcher, Eduardo Zegarra, will be panelist at the First APEC Water Resources Authorities Meeting “Challenges for Water and Food Security in the context of climate change”, held by the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Policy Partnership on Food Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation of Peru, on August, 18 and 19, Can Tho, Viet Nam.

Eduardo will be part of the session regarding food security and best practices in agriculture. The panel will address questions as What are effective non-technical solutions and strategies for making fresh water use in agriculture more efficient? Could include conservation, advanced irrigation, watersheds, water seeding and harvesting, water culture, local knowledge, etc.? What leading technology solutions are currently being developed or implemented? Which economies or companies are using or investing in these technologies? How governments are enabling market conditions for private sector towards these purposes?
