It presents the findings of the qualitative evaluation of the design and implementation of the Jornada Escolar Completa (JEC). The objective of the study is to provide useful information, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the intervention. The analysis was based on interviews with officials from MINEDU, DREs, UGELs and members of the educational community, principals, teachers, students, parents and others, from a sub-sample of 20 educational institutions (IE) in six regions of the country: La Libertad and Lima for the coast, Huancavelica and Huánuco for the highlands, and Amazonas and San Martín for the jungle. In addition, we reviewed the regulations and literature related to the topic of secondary school JEC.
