The research shared in this book addresses the central issues related to the possibility of developing oil palm cultivation in the Peruvian Amazon under standards that ensure the lowest environmental costs, the viability of a significant participation of small producers in the development of the crop with results that allow them to improve their living standards, the possible strategies among actors to link up in the chain and achieve these objectives, and the analysis of how the current legal and institutional frameworks allow or hinder progress along this path.
