Presentation

The aim of this research study is to conduct a gap analysis between the supply and demand of higher education at the national level, which will allow the territorial identification of the problem of insufficient supply and propose mechanisms to close the gaps and optimize the education service. In order to achieve this objective, the following will be carried out: i) analysis of information and evaluation of demand and supply of the ESU in order to identify families of careers most in demand by applicants and by the tertiary productive sector, ii) development of a methodology to identify gaps between supply and demand for university education through a territorial and relevance approach, iii) construction of a visualization board to present to the general public the supply and demand for university education, the labor demand for university graduates, and the gaps at the territorial level, and iv) document with recommendations for the identification and progressive implementation of mechanisms for the optimization and expansion of the university supply that are most appropriate for closing these gaps.
