Alliances

GRADE researchers actively collaborate with other institutions-people and projects, networks and alliances to undertake studies that promote development.


The Think Tank Initiative (TTI) is a multi-donor program dedicated to strengthening independent policy research institutions -"think tanks"- in developing countries by supporting them to undertake efficient research with the aim of contributing the formulation of public policy. GRADE is one of 52 beneficiary institutions of the TTI.
Evidence and Lessons from Latin America (ELLA) is a program designed to improve information sharing on evidence generated in Latin America on development policies and practice for researchers, professionals and policy makers across Latin America, Africa, Asia and the international community. GRADE is member of the consortium responsible for developing and implementing the program.
AES
The Alliance for Health Equity in Peru (La Alianza para la Equidad en Salud en el Perú - AES) works to promote equality in health as a strategy for improving social justice. The AES is an initiative led by three prestigious research institutions renowned for their work monitoring health policy. They are: The Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE), the Pacific University (CIUP) and the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia.
The Working Group for Standards and Evaluations of the Program for Promotion of Educational Reform in Latin America and the Caribbean (El Grupo de Trabajo sobre Estándares y Evaluación del Programa de Promoción de la Reforma Educativa en América Latina y el Caribe-GTEEPREAL), is a regional network of specialists and non-specialists whose goal is to promote educational evaluation of learning achievements in schools and the introduction of educational standards across Latin America. The GTEEPREAL is coordinated by GRADE.
The Young Lives study follows the lives of around 12,000 children in Peru and three other countries -Ethiopia, India and Vietnam- (approximately 3,000 children in each country) with the aim of identifying the causes and consequences of child poverty and making public policy recommendations . The organizations in charge of the project in Peru are The Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE), and the Nutrition Research Institute (IIN).
PEP
The Poverty and Economic Policy Network (PEP) brings together researchers from developing countries and supports, via provision of funding and technical assistance, research projects that set out to reduce poverty. The Latin American office is coordinated by GRADE and is responsible for developing training activities, research and dissemination targeted at researchers across the region.
