Presentation
The Consejo Nacional de Competitividad has organised Task Forces to discuss a reform agenda and suggest measures to design a National Strategy for Competitiveness. The Task Force of Technological Innovation will be led by Juana Kuramoto. The objectives of this group are:
a) to coordinate the various public and private efforts set in place to promote technological innovation;
b) to prepare a specific proposal on technological innovation as an input for the National Strategy for Competitiveness;
c) to discuss a reform agenda and suggest measures to promote a culture for innovation and quality improvement at all levels of society; to strengthen the information services about technologies, basic and applied research, technical standards and norms, and patents; and to establish study and interest groups formed by representatives of firms, academia and government;
d) to establish a short term agenda with urgent measures.
