Presentation

The purpose of this project is to design and execute the analyses of the project One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) at home, to then prepare research reports. As it may be recalled, within the framework of this project XO laptops were randomly allocated to primary school students in fourteen low-performance schools in Lima. The laptops were accompanied by user manuals and workshops with the students.  Subsequently, a sub-group of these students, randomly selected, was given Internet access.  This was also accompanied by manuals to access teaching resources and workshops for better use.  After two years of implementation and data gathering at four points in time, the research team will dedicate the next six months to analyze the data and prepare the research reports.  The project is carried out jointly with the IADB and the University of Chicago.
