Presentation

The general aim of this study is to generate new knowledge on the keys to achieve “successful” experiences of spontaneous urban planning, as well as to develop a set of methodological and spatial tools to disseminate this knowledge in other cities with high rates of spontaneous occupation of the territory. The research will be carried out mainly in Lima, and later the tools proposed will be applied in the city of Dar es Salaam, in collaboration with the Economic and Social Research Foundation of Tanzania.
