Causes of chronic child malnutrition reduction in Peru

The main purpose of this study is to define a model to identify the factors that contributed to reducing chronic child malnutrition in Peru during the period 2007-2013.  An analysis will be included of the factors associated to government interventions through social programs aimed at fighting nutrition deficiencies and poverty in Peru during such period, emphasizing the analysis of the interactions of such interventions in order to suggest adequate policy recommendations to guide the effectiveness of future interventions.  This analysis will also distinguish geographical strata (urban and rural) regions (Coast, Andes, Rainforest and Metropolitan Lima), departments, gender, age cohorts, age groups and poverty strata.
